To recruit, train, and supervise quality volunteer advocates to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the dependency court system.

  • One-on-one support: Provides a consistent and caring friend and advocate to children in the dependency court system.
  • Liaison: Works closely with the court, court personnel, Department of Children and Family Services, and other representatives of key institutions to ensure that the child's needs are met.

Alameda County CASA is a member of the National CASA Association, and is one of more than 900 CASA programs nationwide. CASA is jointly overseen by the Alameda County Health Care Service Agency, the CASA Executive Director, and the Presiding Juvenile Court Judge.
