Celebration for Amy Freeman: Thursday, Feb. 8th

Please join the FYA Board of Directors and Staff to celebrate Amy Freeman's many accomplishments while at the helm of FYA and to wish her well in her new endeavors. We will gather at the Washington Inn Hotel located at 495 Tenth Street in Oakland on Thursday, February 8th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for drinks and appetizers. FYA Professional Development Trainings

The next FYA Professional Development Training will be held Tuesday, February 13th, from 9:30 to 12:30 at the ILSP Office located at 2647 International Blvd., Suite 312 in Oakland. The topic will be Youth Safety: Preventing Self-Injurious Behaviors.

This training is a joint project of FYA, Seneca Center, and the Chabot FKCE.

Calworks Training on February 28th

By popular demand, FYA has added a training to the current series. On Wednesday, February 28th Lorena Briseno of the Alameda County Social Service Agency will provide a training on Calworks Eligibility and Benefits Clarification. The training will be held from 9:30 to 12:00 at the ILSP Office, 2647 International Blvd., Suite 312, Oakland.

The FYA Executive Director is responsible for providing the overall leadership, project direction and implementation, and fundraising for FYA. The Executive Director will work in close collaboration with the Board of Directors and Program Staff to refine FYA’s strategic vision and build organizational infrastructure.
