| Governor Signs AB 824 & SB 436 |

| Thanks in large part to the vigorous advocacy efforts of The Campaign for Safe Transitions, Governor Schwarzenegger signed into law AB 824 & SB 436 on October 7th. AB 824 raises the age of eligibility for THP+ to 24. SB 436 addresses the needs of pregnant and parenting former foster youth in THP+. The Campaign for Safe Transitions will meet in early December to strategize and set goals for the coming year. |
